I was going to write a May 2018 favourites post but I didn’t get a chance before June started, and then this weekend a VERY big thing happened which has made me forget everything that happened in May: Erin, member of the Lipstick Brigade and one of my closest friends, got married. It was absolutely beautiful, not just because she and her now-husband are obscenely in love, but also because they’ve been doing long-distance between the US and NZ for the past two years and that can finally be put behind them. I was lucky enough to be asked to be her bridesmaid, making it the second time I’ve had that honour.

Life is wild – 4 years ago I was crying in London because I didn’t know when I’d see @warholdoll again, and yesterday I cried because I watched her walk down the aisle to @simon_w.oar & it was beautiful 💍 thank you for loving a kiwi & thank you for having me as a part of your day, I adore you 💄❤️
I’m getting to that age where lots of my peers are getting engaged and married, and sometimes that’s weird because I still feel like I’m 18 and not old enough for that to be a reality, but on the other hand, I absolutely love weddings. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned it here before (or if it’s just super obvious), but I am a complete hopeless romantic. The idea of a huge party purely to celebrate a relationship is beautiful to me, even though I definitely don’t feel like a grown up. I’m not entirely sure where I’ve been trying to go with this post, other than to own up about how I’m a fool for love and have an excuse to post a picture of me & Erin having the best time.
